sharing my pages
OK, I made a site for my K-6 Gifted & Talented students to use in September. But I can’t find any instructions about making the site available for people to see. Can you tell me what to do or where to look for this information? thanks, Sue

Hey,
Jonah here… saw your question and thought I might help out.
If you just want to show the project to your students, here are the steps:
1. open up the project you want to put online
2. select the home page for the project in the sitemap
3. in the toolbox, click on the “Online Name” button
4. enter a name you want it to show up with… let’s assume you type “gifted”
5. hit “save” when it asks you
6. you can now send your kids to http://tf.trintuition.com/slafaso/gifted (i’m assuming that’s your user name)
7. you can copy that address to your clipboard by clicking on the new “Copy Address (URL)” button in the toolbox if you forget it or don’t want to type it out.
hope that helps:)
Thanks Jonah, it sure helped and you saved me a lot of time…your instructions made if very simple…it worked like a charm.
but you said if I just want to show my students this is how I would do it… But can i link this same address to my school web page and it would be available to the kids and families?
Yes, Susan, the address will work if you make it a link on your school web page, assuming you have access to add links on your school page. It is a public address when you share it by URL as you created following Jonah’s directions. The people viewing it will be able to SEE it as a normal web page but not CHANGE it as you can from the “project” side.
Thanks Candace, I figured out that I could, but I hate to assume things. Now that I made this page I think I will start a new one and use some more of the neat stuff. Thanks for all the support!!
We hope you will share your pages and how you plan to use them by making a “sharing” post in this blog so other project members can gain inspiration. It’s easy- just write a post and include the URL.
