I am thankful for the ability to work with kids who make me laugh.
I am thankful for teachers who LOVE what they do and are not just present.
I am thankful for my grandmother who had me look at teaching as a profession.
I am thankful for the patience God gives me in the classroom.
I am thankful for the relationships built.

I am thankful for students who are excited about our new laptops.
I am thankful for teachers who really can't wait to use their new smartboard.
I am thankful for all the parents who have helped get
our new equipment up and running.
I am thankful for our teachers who are ready to learn something new every day.
I am thankful for my friend, a retired teacher, who introduced me to this site.
Happy Thanksgiving Candy!

As a teacher, I am thankful for uninterrupted Teacher Workdays.
I am thankful for meaningful summer workshops that enrich and recharge me.
I am thankful for smiles on the faces of students when they finally understand.
I am thankful for students who ask questions related to the topic that sparks other questions and comments from other students.
As a teacher, I am thankful for a job that has meaning and purpose and lays a foundation for our future.

I'm thankful for the rain that ends just before recess so the kids can get outside and run off some steam.

I'm thankful for the students who never make a "yucky" face when I seat an unpopular student right beside them.

I'm thankful for the enthusiasm of kids which allows them to say, "this is cool" when I show them something new in math, like divisibility rules

For the students who approach me and ask me to explain again because they "didn't get it" the first time.
For the parents that ask me what can they do at home to help their child.
For going every day to work with a smile on my face.

As a teacher I am thankful for
the hundred smile of my students
the sincere excuses after a bad deal
the thoughtful glances while I am explaining
the several ways in which students try to improve
the whale of goodbyes at the end of the schoolday
and even when it's hard sometimes
I perceive I couldn't have any job else
